Deck the Park

November 23, 2023 @ 4:00 pm – January 1, 2024 @ 9:00 pm

The City of Madisonville, Kentucky and The Hopkins County Tourist & Convention Commission, are excited to announce that Deck the Park will be returning for its 4th consecutive season. This FREE nightly Christmas attraction includes a Christmas Light drive-thru with over 123,-000 lights, a 33-foot LED Christmas tree, a walk-through light display, a candy cane lane, Christmas carolers, a nativity scene, a 12-foot walk-through ornament, a bounce house, a hot chocolate station, gingerbread display, FREE rides, and more! 

Deck The Park will run nightly from November 23 through January 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Visit on the weekend to enjoy the rides, vendors, special guests and more!

Mistletoe Art Stroll

December 1 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Have a Hallmark Holiday in Madisonville! Shop the Mistletoe Stroll and experience shopping in downtown Madisonville like never before! The third annual Mistletoe Art Stroll will be held in downtown Madisonville on Friday, December 1st from 5-8 PM.

Art, shopping, food, and fun! The Mistletoe Art Stroll is guaranteed to be a shopping experience with style! Support small businesses and creative artisans, all while checking off your holiday shopping list! Downtown businesses will open their doors and host artisans in their stores! Designated “stroll stops” will feature the local businesses you know and love and a guest artisan in their space! You can expect to find over 30 artisans featuring one-of-a-kind art, including locally poured candles, handcrafted jewelry, pottery, leather items, paintings, custom home décor, and so much more! Many local stores and restaurants will also have event specials and sales!

This family-friendly event will feature the Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30 PM in front of the Historic Courthouse. Join community leaders as they light the tree and kick off the holiday season! Enjoy the classical sound of a local brass ensemble or sing along to your favorite Christmas carol on a free horse-drawn carriage ride downtown! Other activities scheduled for that evening include free balloon twisting, a stilt walker, free popcorn, ornament decorating, and more!

Madisonville Noon Kiwanis Christmas Parade

December 2 @ 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Get ready to experience the magic of the holiday season at the Madisonville Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 5:00 PM local time. This year’s theme, “Christmas Around the World,” will showcase different cultural traditions and bring the community together in a celebration of unity and diversity. Join us for a night of festive floats, dazzling lights, and holiday cheer as we spread joy and goodwill to all. Mark your calendars and don’t miss out on this unforgettable event!

Holiday Tour of Homes

December 3 @ 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Discover the charm of Madisonville, KY this holiday season with the Woman’s Club Holiday Tour of Homes. On December 3rd from 1-5 p.m., explore 5 beautifully decorated homes and get in the festive spirit. Tickets are priced at $15 and can be purchased in advance at The Gift Horse, Merle Norman, Gather at the Mark, or Hopkins County Tourism. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event at the MadCity Event Center, the tour’s headquarters. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the warmth and joy of the holiday season in Madisonville.
