Deck the Park

November 28, 2024 – January 1, 2025

Madisonville City Park

Get ready to immerse yourself in the enchantment of the holidays as “Deck the Park” returns to Madisonville City Park! This free nightly Christmas attraction promises to be a dazzling display for the whole family.

Highlights of Deck the Park include:

  • Christmas Light Drive-Thru: Take a mesmerizing journey through a winter wonderland featuring over 123,000 twinkling Christmas lights, creating a magical spectacle that captures the spirit of the season.
  • Amusement Rides: Enjoy the thrill of a Ferris wheel, a delightful kiddie reindeer ride, and a classic carousel. The festive atmosphere is perfect for creating cherished memories with loved ones.
  • Candy Cane Lane: Wander through Candy Cane Lane, a delightful pathway adorned with festive decorations that will surely evoke the spirit of joy and wonder.
  • Special Guests: Keep an eye out for appearances by beloved characters such as the Grinch and Santa Claus, spreading holiday cheer and delighting visitors of all ages.
  • Nativity Scene: Experience the beauty of the season with a heartwarming nativity scene, reminding visitors of the true meaning of Christmas.
  • Operating Hours: Deck the Park will be open every night from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, providing ample time for families and friends to revel in the festive atmosphere.

 “Deck the Park” is a FREE annual Christmas attraction that transforms the City Park into a winter wonderland of lights, rides, and holiday festivities designed to bring joy and holiday spirit to all who attend. We invite everyone to join us in this magical experience and create lasting memories with friends and family.

Returning Features: 12ft. walk-thru ornament, The Grinch (Static Location), an Inflatable Snowman Bounce House, a Hot Chocolate Station, and a Gingerbread Display.

Deck The Park will run nightly from November 28 through January 1, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Visit on the weekend to enjoy the rides, vendors, special guests and more!

Mistletoe Art Stroll

December 6 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Downtown Madisonville

Have a Hallmark Holiday in Madisonville! Shop the Mistletoe Stroll and experience shopping in downtown Madisonville like never before! The third annual Mistletoe Art Stroll will be held in downtown Madisonville on Friday, December 6th from 5-8 PM.

Art, shopping, food, and fun! The Mistletoe Art Stroll is guaranteed to be a shopping experience with style! Support small businesses and creative artisans, all while checking off your holiday shopping list! Downtown businesses will open their doors and host artisans in their stores! Designated “stroll stops” will feature the local businesses you know and love and a guest artisan in their space! You can expect to find one-of-a-kind art, including locally poured candles, handcrafted jewelry, pottery, leather items, paintings, custom home décor, and so much more! Many local stores and restaurants will also have event specials and sales!

This family-friendly event will feature the Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30 PM in front of the Historic Courthouse. Join community leaders as they light the tree and kick off the holiday season! Enjoy the classical sound of a local brass ensemble or sing along to your favorite Christmas carol on a free horse-drawn carriage ride downtown! Other activities scheduled for that evening include free balloon twisting, a stilt walker, free popcorn, ornament decorating, and more!

The Flight Before Christmas

Madisonville Regional Airport

Mark your calendars for December 8th, Sunday from 1-4 PM for “The Flight Before Christmas” event at Madisonville Regional Airport! Enjoy FREE admission, pictures with Santa, live reindeer, and fun-filled activities for kids. Don’t miss Santa’s grand entrance as he lands in a helicopter!

Weather permitting, helicopter rides will be available to the public for $40 per person. Bring your family and friends to celebrate the holiday season with us and create unforgettable memories!

Return to Bethlehem

First Baptist Church Madisonville

Remember the reason for the season as you step back in time to Bethlehem on the evening of Christ’s birth during this walk through drama. Reenactors portray shopkeepers, families, soldiers, prisoners, and others involved in the daily activities of life in ancient Israel. Experience the place, the sounds, the smells and the anticipation of the town’s people as they go about the city selling their wares, tending their animals, and rearing their families. Admission is free; offerings are accepted. Large groups are welcome and encouraged to call ahead. Enjoy live music in the Sanctuary as you wait your turn to make the journey.
