Join us for a two day cruise-in & car show event!
On Friday, Sept. 20, 2024 there will be a Cruise -In at Parkway Plaza Mall from 5-9pm. This will include a DJ, door prizes, and a 50/50 half pot.
On Saturday, Sept. 22, 2024 there will be a car show at the Hopkins County Fairgrounds from 8am-2pm. The show is free to enter! Jody Clark with Shade Tree will be on-site for custom hand pin striping. There will be a 50/50 half pot and trophies for: 1950-1975 top three nd 1976-2000 top 3, 2001-current top 3, best of show, and Pre 50’s.
All proceeds go to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.

West Kentucky Disc Golf Trail 2024 Tournament Series
September 21
Madisonville City Park
The series features 7 events, one in each of the West Kentucky Disc Golf Trail communities!
Each event will be a PDGA B-tier, 2 rounds on one day, with Added cash ($750 for Pros and added swag for amateurs).
Pro entry fees $75, Amateur entry fees $50. (includes $3 PDGA fee, $7 series fee for year-end payouts). So, for Pros $65 plus the added $750 returned each event as pro prizes!
Amateur players package: premium disc for first 70 amateurs; plus, shirt for if registered three weeks prior to event. Your players package and shirt come from sponsors, so for Amateurs $40 of your entry will go towards amateur payouts at each event.
Points will be accumulated for year-end division champions. One point for each person you beat in your division. Your 5 best events will be used to determine winners in each division. You may play in more than one division, but you points stay in the division you play in. You bust be PDGA qualified to play in that division (no playing down as the year goes on, so if you are rated novice you may want to play recreational in hopes that you improve and have to play recreational later during the 2024 year.
Year-end trophies will be mailed, Pros paid by check or PayPal, amateurs paid with online vouchers. Your series fees stay in the divisions you play in to make up the yearend awards.

Oktoberfest

The Crowded House
Get ready to raise your steins! The Crowded House is thrilled to announce the second annual Oktoberfest on September 21st, 2024 from 4:30 PM to 10 PM downtown Madisonville. This family-friendly outdoor event promises an evening filled with live music, local brews, delicious food, and fun activities for the whole family.
Five local Western Kentucky breweries will be on-site, offering a variety of craft beers. Beer enthusiasts will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of brews, from traditional German-style lagers to innovative, locally crafted ales. Participating breweries include Brew Bridge, Hopkinsville Brewing Company, Henderson Brewing Company, Tradewater Brewing Company, and The Pub on Second.
“We are thrilled to bring Oktoberfest back to Madisonville,” said Event Organizer, Ashley Sutton. “We hope this event will become a tradition in Madisonville, and we can’t wait to welcome our community and visitors to enjoy an evening of fun, food, and fantastic beer.”
Foodies rejoice! From The Crowded House’s legendary pretzels to classic bratwursts and other delicious food, there will be plenty of dining options. The Crowded House will also be offering house favorites and a bar inside during the event. Local businesses like Big City Market and Coffee Bar will also be offering a full German-themed menu with extended hours to accommodate eventgoers.
The event features a fantastic lineup of local vendors and live music acts that will keep the energy high throughout the event. Maggie Hollis will be taking the stage from 5:30 PM-7 PM and Yellowbanks will be on from 7:30 PM-10 PM!
Admission to Madisonville Oktoberfest is free, and guests can purchase food, beverages, and merchandise from vendors on-site. Stations will be set for I.D. Verification—attendees must have a wrist band to purchase beer. All alcoholic beverages must stay inside the marked areas. Well behaved pets on a leash are welcome!
The event will take place outdoors behind The Crowded House (26 W. Center St. Madisonville, KY). Limited seating will be available, so be sure to bring your lawn chairs or blankets!

“The American Songster” Dom Flemons has a repertoire covering over one hundred years of American roots music, including country, folk, bluegrass, Americana, and the blues. Flemons is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music scholar, historian, actor, slam poet, record collector, podcaster, and the creator, host, and producer of the American Songster Radio Show. He is considered an expert player on a variety of instruments including the banjo, guitar, harmonica, and jug, and is the co-founder of the Carolina Chocolate Drops.
