The White Plains Civil War Festival will be an entertaining and educational experience for the whole family on April 25 & 26, 2015!  Hosted by the 8th Ky. Confederate States of America.

 

Saturday, April 25
White Plains Masonic Lodge
9am – Community Wide Yard Sale
11am – Car Show (1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Trophy)

Community Center Building
1pm – Portrayal of Mary Todd Lincoln by professional actress Trish Clark, Ky Chautauqua Performer

White Plains Memorial Park
2pm – Veterans Memorial Service (wreath laying, rifle salute by Hopkins Co Honor Guard), Retired Army Master Sgt Doug Bullock will be the M.C. Hopkins Co Central Jr ROTC will serve as color guard. Flags of all branches will be on display and all service songs will be played during veterans recognition.

Ball Field
3pm – Battle Reenactment – Authentic Civil War Encampment
Tents, Flags, Weapons, Equipment on display (Union,Confederate, Infantry, Artillery)
Camp open to public at 9am.
6pm – Meal for Reenactors – Powder Bounty provided

Concessions Vendors & Sutlers All Day

Sunday, April 26

10am – Civil War Church Service (Rev Lloyd Davis of Henderson)_
