“Our theme for the 2026–2027 season is Music. Theatre. Art. Celebrate What Brings Us Together. I can’t think of a better way to describe what happens here every day,” says director Toby Roberts. “The Glema Center is more than a venue. It is a gathering place. This season reflects the people, traditions, and values that make our community a great place to live. From concerts and plays to art exhibits and community events, there’s something this season for everyone. We hope you’ll join us and be part of the experiences that bring us together.”
The Center Stage lineup, sponsored by the Hopkins County Tourist & Convention Commission, the City of Madisonville, the Enduring Legacy of Mrs. Glema Mahr, and Old National Bank, kicks off with Montgomery Gentry featuring Eddie Montgomery, followed by a holiday favorite: The Children’s Nutcracker. We’ll beat the winter blues with the award-winning “orchestra of voices” Chanticleer, and usher in spring with the relaxed vibes of A1A – The Official Jimmy Buffett Tribute.
The Stage Door Series features Hopkins County native Marilyn Kington, a Valentine’s weekend event with The Pennyrile Jazz Collective, and singer-songwriter Dylan LeBlanc. The Glema Mahr Chamber Music Series presents recitals by saxophone ensemble Cerus Quartet, double bass and bassoon duo Basso Vox, and fortepianist Daniel Adam Maltz.
Dinner Theatre moves to fall this season, with madcap comedy Clue. First United Bank & Trust’s Proud Partnership brings a Hopkins County Schools production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella to the stage in the spring, and then Community Theatre caps off the season with Meredith Willson’s The Music Man. This year’s community-based programming once again includes the MCC Singers’ Community Christmas Concert and Spring Concert.
There are discounted youth tickets for many of the events in the 2026/27 Season, including free admission for the Chamber Music Series and half-price tickets for the Stage Door Series. There are no fees added to any admission, whether ticket purchases are made at the box office or online.
“Our season is also full of non-ticketed, free community events,” added Roberts. “Follow us on social media or subscribe to the event calendar on our website for the most current information about those.”
A Season Package that includes entry to all ticketed events is available at a 25% discount. This season’s Flex Package allows patrons to build their own season consisting of seven or more ticketed performances at a 15% discount.
Season Package sales start Monday, August 17 and Single Event ticket sales start Monday, August 24. Tickets may be purchased in person, by phone at 270-821-2787, or online at glemacenter.universitytickets.com. Ticket Office hours are 10am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
