At a press conference held at the newest location for Independence Bank in Madisonville, KY, President Kent Mills announces the plans to host a FREE outdoor concert in celebration of the growth they are experiencing in the market.  The headlining talent for the Sounds of Independence will be Jennifer Nettles.  The concert will take place on Saturday, August 19th in Madisonville at the Ballard Convention Center and Fairgrounds.  The concert will be outdoors rain or shine.  The weekend is centered around the events taking place leading up to the solar eclipse on Monday.

Nettles has been credited as one of the most admired and animated performers of her time.  She has been honored by her songwriting abilities with five awards for her #1 Platinum hit “Stay,” that also earned her GRAMMY, ACM and CMA awards.  She is the first female artist since 1972 to be the female solo songwriter artist on an ACM Song of the year winner.  Her powerhouse vocals and vivacious energy earned her the Crystal Milestone Award for her outstanding performances.

Although this is free concert, if you’re an Independence Bank customer, you’re in luck.  All Bank customers receive VIP seating to the Sounds of Independence Concert.  Not a customer?  You have until the date of the concert to open an account to get upgraded to preferred  Effective immediately, customers may visit either Independence Bank location in Madisonville to get their Event ID card to be admitted to the VIP area.
