Laura and Lydia Rogers, sisters from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, grew up with a zeal for country music and sang songs with their family. The girls first learned to harmonize through singing a cappella at their hometown church. Laura and Lydia never considered a singing career as a duo. But, after an ‘accidental’ audition, they had begun their journey which, admittedly, has had peaks and valleys. But there’s a mythical pull to music that kept the sisters moving forward, and they came out with a biting and beautiful third LP, produced by Brandi Carlile, You Don’t Own Me Anymore. It’s a document of hardship and redemption.
