The Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission and the West Kentucky Archery Association will host the West Kentucky Pro/Am, December 1-3, 2017, at the West Kentucky Archery Complex in Madisonville, Ky.
The West Kentucky Pro/Am will attract novice to professional archers from throughout the region.
“While we have hosted collegiate and high school archery tournaments, this is the first Pro/Am tournament that will be held at the complex,” said Mike Duncan, Hopkins County Community Development Director. “We are glad to have the opportunity to host this shoot and highlight our state-of-the-art facility.”
The economic impact of these tournaments upon Hopkins County should not be understated, explained Tricia Noel, executive director of the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission.
“The Archery Complex has been a great economic asset to Madisonville and Hopkins County. Competitors and their families pour money into our communities by staying at our hotels and enjoying our local dining and shopping,” Noel said. “The Tourism Commission is pleased to support the West Kentucky Pro/Am Shoot, as it fits along with our mission of showcasing Hopkins County as a destination for visitors and special events.”
The weekend competition includes an 18M indoor 5-spot and 3 spot Vegas round. The total guaranteed payout will be $7,750.00.
