Established in 1978 on a 14‑acre, park‑like property, First Christian Church has long embraced environmental stewardship and the beauty of its natural surroundings. Over the years, members have intentionally expanded and documented the landscape, cultivating more than 60 tree and shrub species. Its most notable feature is a diverse Quercus collection, with 20 oak species represented.
In 2023, the grounds earned Level 1 Arboretum accreditation, underscoring the church’s commitment to caring for creation and preserving this living resource for generations to come.
