Calhoun Custom Meats offers lunch specials and fresh cold-cut sandwiches! It is a retail store specializing in locally grown beef and pork cuts of meat.
Although Calhoun’s Custom Meats started operations in April of 2022, their story goes back nearly 60 years. In the early 1960’s Sherrell and Jeanie Calhoun entered the feed milling business (Calhoun Feed Service) in Madisonville, KY, and soon started owning and operating hog and cattle farms. Over the years the feed milling, and farming enterprises have grown and flourished. Sherrell and Jeanie have long since retired, and the next generation has continued to grow and expand the businesses. In recent years, they have come to realize that people want to eat fresh, wholesome, locally grown foods raised by their friends and neighbors. This was their motivation to open Calhoun’s Custom Meats in Madisonville, KY.
When shopping at Calhoun’s Custom Meats, look for the Calhoun’s “Local” Pork and Calhoun’s “Local” Beef labels and know you’re purchasing quality home grown meats raised responsibly by your friends and neighbors.
