Kidapalooza to Highlight Ventriloquist Ken Karter

Kidapalooza logoKids and grownups will be playing together on the downtown streets as Madisonville’s most popular family-friendly festival returns for a ninth year of unplugged outdoor fun. Kidapalooza is Saturday, October 24, 10 am-1 pm, on East Center and Union streets, around the courthouse square in the city’s historic downtown district.

This free event features games, activities, arts and crafts, and Bouncing B’s inflatables to entice kids to spend the day away from computers, video games, and television.

The Funny Dummy Show with ventriloquist Ken Karter is the featured entertainment at Kidapalooza this year. Children will also enjoy taking part in wellness activities and participating in dance instruction by the Stellar Dance Studio, who will also give a performance of Thriller. For the budding artist, the Recycled Sculpture Art Challenge and Halloween window painting are sure to be fun. The Madisonville Fire Department will run the Jr. Firefighter Challenge.

Kidapalooza is sponsored by the Hopkins County Community Early Childhood Council, the City of Madisonville and the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission. For more information, call (270) 821-4171.
