Enjoy some of the best loved tunes from our musical theatre heritage when the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts welcomes Ernie Haase and Signature Sound with Broadway star J. Mark McVey from Les Miserables in “Inspiration of Broadway” on Friday, April 22 at 7:30 pm.
From its formation in 2003, Ernie Haase has built Signature Sound into one of the most popular and beloved quartets in all of Southern Gospel music. The group has traveled all over the world, offering energy, excitement and encouragement through its powerful brand of gospel music. EHSS continues to gain fans all around the globe with its unique performances and unmistakable four-part harmonies.
Mark McVey made his Broadway debut as Jean Valjean in ‘Les Miserables’ after having won the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Actor while on tour. He was also the first American to perform the role in London’s West End. Mark reprised the role with the Los Angeles Philharmonic to sold out crowds at the Hollywood Bowl and again for the 25th Anniversary Tour of Les Miserables where he won the Ovation Award and the BroadwayWorld.com Award on his way to eclipsing 3,268 performances in Les Mis.
