“Great Backyard Bird Count” Events in Madisonville, KY!

Connect to Birds, to Nature, and with Each Other!

Take part in the 2023 Great Backyard Bird Count at Mahr Park Arboretum! The Great Backyard Bird Count is an international community-science event launched in 1998 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon Society. Each February, they invite people to spend time outdoors during this 4 day period watching and counting as many birds as they can find. Report your observations to help scientist across the world better understand bird populations.
