Gallery Hop to Showcase Fine Art and Great Cuisine

gallery hop logoMadisonville’s Gallery Hop returns Saturday, November 7 with opportunities for the public to view and purchase art and eat at one of the city’s eclectic restaurants.

From 4-8 p.m. art will be on display at several downtown locations. Original works for sale will include oil and watercolor paintings, fiber pieces, fine jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, art photography, glass, wood furniture and more.

“This event gives our arts community a showcase for their work and is becoming increasingly popular with artists and tourists,” said Tricia Noel, director of the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission. “We are very excited that some new artists will be joining us this time and will be offering a variety of art mediums.”

Galleries to be open that evening include: Black Dog Fiber Studio, 11 N. Main; Main Street Gallery, 13 N. Main; Barbie Hunt Studio, 35 N. Main; Synergy Counseling and Wellness Center, LLC, 14 N. Main; Big City Market and Coffee Bar, 23 Sugg St.; the Madisonville-Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce, 15 E. Center; hOMe Yoga Studio, 254 E. Center St.; House of Style, 117 S. Main.; and Amanda’s, 28 Sugg St.

Downtown restaurants will be open and several shops will have extended hours. The Green Dragon Tavern and Big City Market and Coffee Bar will each host live music. To help visitors find the art displays, retailers, and restaurants they’re looking for, brochures featuring maps of the downtown area will be available in each gallery.

The Gallery Hop is sponsored by the Downtown Turnaround Partnership and the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission.
