Kentucky Chautauqua® presents Mary Todd Lincoln: A House Divided

Madisonville Community College, together with Kentucky Chautauqua, will present Mary Todd Lincoln: A House Divided at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. Trish Clark of Lexington portrays Mary Todd Lincoln for Kentucky Chautauqua. Ms. Clark has worked as an artist and educator for more than thirty years. The performance is free, open to the public, and approximately one hour in duration.

One Million Cups

1 Million Cups (1MC) is a simple way to engage entrepreneurs in communities around the world. Each week, the 1MC program offers two local entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their startups to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors, and entrepreneurs. Presenters prepare a 6 minute educational presentation and engage in 20 minutes of feedback and questioning after they present. Entrepreneurs gain insight into possible ways they can improve their businesses, gather realtime feedback, connect with a community that truly cares about their progress, and walk away feeling like they have advanced their business. The audience also learns a great deal from the presentations. Whether this is through passively listening or deeply engaging with the entrepreneurs, there is much to learn every week from these dynamic and diverse communities. Christmas at Munn's

The Pennyroyal Herb Club sponsors "Christmas at Munns", an open house and holiday craft sale at the old historic school that is decorated similar to an 1800's style Christmas. This is the perfect time to get fresh wreaths, natural decorations, bulk herbs and spices and gifts from the garden. Holiday Tour of Homes

Where: Various locations throughout Madisonville
The Woman's Club of Madisonville will sponsor the Holiday Tour of Homes from 1 - 5 pm. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased in advance at the Chamber of Commerce, Merle Norman, Allure Hair Salon, Mark of Distinction or The Gift Horse or by calling 270-821-4171. Tickets may be purchased day of the tour at The Morton House located at 140 South Main, Madisonville. The tour showcases several downtown apartments along with 3 beautiful homes on the north end of Madisonville.

Craft Bazaar

Over 20 vendors will be setup for this Craft Bazaar. Fees from vendors will be donated to the American Legion Riders to be used for Christmas gifts for under-privileged children in Hopkins County. Santa's House

An Evening with Little River Band

Little River Band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975. It was originally a blend of musicians who had enjoyed success in other Australian acts. Between 1976 and 1983, chart success in America included popular singles like Take It Easy On Me, Reminiscing , Lady, Cool Change and Lonesome Loser.
