Learning to Lead Seminar

Farmer's Bank & Trust and the Hopkins County Young Professionals presents this professional development seminar. Tickets are $35 and include lunch. Henry Butler - New Orleans Piano Legend

When it comes to jazz and blues, New Orleans is the city that gave and then kept on giving. The Big Easy gave rise to a present - day giant, the pianist and singer Henry Butler - a super virtuoso and ebullient performer who embodies the buoyant spirit of his birthplace. The Pennyroyal Herb Club sponsors "Christmas at Munns", an open house and holiday craft sale at the old historic school that is decorated similar to an 1800's style Christmas. This is the perfect time to get fresh wreaths, natural decorations, bulk herbs and spices and gifts from the garden. Christmas in Mad City

First Day Hike

Where: Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park, 20781 Pennyrile Lodge Rd, Dawson Springs, KY 42408
Hikers will meet begin a 3.25 mile hike on the park’s Lake Trail. Wear proper clothing and bring your own water, snacks, and hiking stick. This hike is not recommended for children under the age of 5. Leashed dogs are welcome on the hike. Hiking sticks are available for purchase in the park’s gift shop. The hike is free and will last approximately two hours. To register for the hike contact the park naturalist at rebeccae.clark@ky.gov or 1-800-325-1711.

Madisonville Noon Kiwanis Christmas Parade

Kellie Pickler, who gained fame on the 5th season of American Idol, has established herself as an acclaimed artist of Country music and has become a media darling with her CMT docu-comedy series "I Love Kellie Pickler" which co-stars her husband, songwriter/producer Kyle Jacobs. Phil Vassar is one of a handful of musicians to have multiple hits as a songwriter and as an artist. Together, PIckler and Vassar will light up the stage in a rare Country Christmas Tour that will harmoniously showcase their musical talents and unique voices. Tickets: $40/$35/$30.
