13h Annual BAJA 5k & 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Where: Baptist Health Fitness Formula, 950 Hospital Dr., Madisonville KY
The 5K run features a course through the Baptist Health Madisonville campus and through several Madisonville streets. The course is flat and fast. The fun run/walk begins at Baptist Health Fitness Formula and loops the Wellness Park. Men's and women's overall awards. Long-sleeved 5K race shirts to all paid entrants. Refreshments provided. 1st and 2nd place awards given in each age group. Water stations will be provided through-out the course. For more information call Kathy Edwards at 270-824-2023.

Christ the King Old Fashioned Barbecue Picnic

The 34th annual Christ the King “Old Fashioned” barbecue picnic is Saturday, September 22 from 4-8PM. Enjoy famous slow cooked smoked pork, mutton, chicken, burgoo, and all the fixings. All you can eat is $15/adult $7/children 4-10 and free for under 4. Carryout is available. There will be hourly money giveaways beginning at 5PM with the grand prize drawing of $1,000 at 8PM. Other numerous basket raffles. Raffles will be given away beginning at 8PM. Numerous activities for kids, games, and more. Come early and plan to spend the evening!
