Senior Bingo Luncheon

Where: Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park, 20781 Pennyrile Lodge Rd., Dawson Springs, KY 42408
Meet up with friends, eat, and play bingo. Participants must be 50 years old or older, to play bingo. The lunch buffet begins at 11 am and costs $8.50 plus gratuity. Bingo starts at 12:30 pm and is free! Groups of 10 or more need to contact the dining room for advanced seating at 270-797-3421

First Day Hike

SEP 1

7 pm to 9 pm
Where: Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park, 20781 Pennyrile Lodge Rd, Dawson Springs, KY 42408
Hikers will meet begin a 3.25 mile hike on the park’s Lake Trail. Wear proper clothing and bring your own water, snacks, and hiking stick. This hike is not recommended for children under the age of 5. Leashed dogs are welcome on the hike. Hiking sticks are available for purchase in the park’s gift shop. The hike is free and will last approximately two hours. To register for the hike contact the park naturalist at rebeccae.clark@ky.gov or 1-800-325-1711.

Tradewater River Fitness Challenge

Where: Tradewater Station, Dawson Springs, KY 42408
Tradewater River Fitness Challenge includes a 4K run, 2 mile canoeing/kayaking and 16.5 mile bike ride. Registration will take place between 6:30 and 8 am with a mandatory pre-race safety meeting at 8:45 am. The men's event will begin at 8 am and the women's at 9:10. Beach Party

Lots of fun family friendly activities will be held at the beach all day long. Tie-dye t-shirts, music provided by local DJ, sidewalk chalk art contest, and beach volleyball tournament. Hot dogs and snow cones will be available for cash purchase at the beach shelter. 270-797-3421
