Find out why fresh, locally grown food makes all the difference! Calhoun’s Custom Meats is a retail store specializing in locally grown beef, pork cuts of meat, and local and Kentucky Proud products. They also offer deli sandwiches for lunch. With a large selection of deli meats, cheeses, and toppings the options are endless, and these sandwiches are piled with 1/3 lb of meat! Get just the sandwich or opt for the “lunch box” which includes the sandwich, a bag of chips, and a cookie! On select Fridays, they serve up delicious ribeye sandwiches, while supplies last!

Although Calhoun’s Custom Meats started operations in April of 2022, their story goes back nearly 60 years. Over the years the feed milling, and farming enterprises have grown and flourished, and the next generation has continued to grow and expand the businesses. In recent years, they have come to realize that people want to eat fresh, wholesome, locally grown foods raised by their friends and neighbors.

Although they offer other meats and products they don’t raise, a major focus of Calhoun’s Custom Meats is to provide beef and pork and allied products raised on their farms and neighboring farms located right here in western Kentucky. They work with local production partners, source corn from local farmers, and rely heavily on the Kentucky bourbon industry for feedstuffs generated through the bourbon manufacturing process.
